Shoten Zenjin

"It‚'s so important to keep the promises made to friends. This is the true meaning of friendship. To become people who can do so, however, we must first learn to keep our resolutions-the promises we have made to ourselves." Buddhism Day by Day from SGI-USA.ORG

I chanted for an hour last night before I went to bed, it made me feel so much better. And this morning I was determined to chant for 30 mins but did only 20, but it was its ok. Thank you SHOTEN ZENJIN!!

Job Kernl Widget

I just posted this Job Kernl widget for 500 credits. You can earn free credits too!

what a horrible day at work.... Buddhism or any religion teaches us to be appreciative of what we currently have but are  you to do when you're just stuck? I am appreciative of my current being but the whole job thing is totally different. I know in order for me to like this is for me to improve but I have no clue where to improve, how to be more efficient? How to know exactly what to say? How to interact with the clients? what am I suppose to do? why is it so unclear?

Daily Encouragement by Daisaku Ikeda
Thursday, January 29, 2009

"Practicing Buddhism means being victorious. In advancing one step at a time amid the realities of our daily lives, in showing concrete actual proof, in becoming victors and successes we are demonstrating with our very beings the validity of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism and serving as a source of hope and inspiration for those who will follow us on the path of faith."

In order to win we must exert our utmost power into whatever it is that we want, in order to convince others we must first convince ourselves!
